Getting Census data:
www.factfinder.census.gov 
I went to "data sets" and then to "data set with quick tables" and then to "geography" ---> then select the state, county and tract --->  table PCT24 seemed to be the most imformative as it gave the percent of students over 15 (just add male and female)

www.batchgeocode.com  --. found data for tracts  --> cut paste to excel --> inport to GIS
